Music fountain reflects the connotation and theme of music through ever-changing fountain shapes and colorful lighting. For a good music fountain, the change of water shape should be able to fully express the music. It is based on the program-controlled fountain and adds a music control system. The computer recognizes, decodes and encodes audio and MIDI signals, and finally outputs the signal to the control system, so that the shape of the fountain and the change of lights are synchronized with the music, thereby achieving a perfect combination of the changes in fountain water shape, lights and colors and the mood of music, making the fountain performance more vivid and more meaningful and reflecting the art of water.

Simply put, the principle of the music fountain: in fact, it converts the audio signal into an electrical frequency signal. The electrical frequency signal controls the water pump through the inverter so that the pressure of the water pump changes with the rhythm of the music. The water column is controlled according to the music played to achieve the effect of synchronization with the music. The water column is controlled by a water pump, which is composed of a three-phase asynchronous motor. If the speed of the three-phase asynchronous motor is connected to the industrial frequency power supply, the speed will not change. The frequency converter is a device specifically for motor speed regulation. The frequency converter controls the speed of the motor to change the water column. Changing the frequency changes the speed of the motor, which also changes the pressure of the water pump. The different frequencies of the music are processed by the single-chip microcomputer and sent to the control end of the variable frequency motor, so that the motor speed changes with the tone, rhythm, and strength of the music, and the pressure of the water pump changes accordingly, and the water sprayed out has high and low changes. Moreover, the formation of the fountain is controlled by several sets of equipment to multiple groups of nozzles. The rhythm and intensity of the music are converted into a control signal, which controls a voltage control device. After the power passes through this voltage control device, the output voltage also changes with the change of music, and then controls the water pump motor.

In the music fountain, some companies have adopted the most advanced distributed computer control system based on WINDOWS NT. The system has five major characteristics: advancement, openness, practicality, and security.

Automatic control technology is the most critical technology in the music fountain, and its main features are as follows:

I. High-level music signal processing system
Using the international leading technology in automatic language recognition, a 32-bit music signal computer processing system (MUCS) was developed to perform spectrum analysis and delay processing on the music signal, extract the effective components suitable for fountain control in the music signal and send them to the main control machine, and can delay the music signal arbitrarily to synchronize the fountain and music.

II. Centralized and distributed control system
This fountain is directly controlled by the main control machine, which has the following features:
1. Music signal acquisition function, extracting effective components according to frequency characteristics.
2. Fault diagnosis of fountain equipment, and diagnosis of the main machine running status, leakage and drive cabinet working status.
3. Chinese menu-based operating system, so that operators can learn to operate in a short time, with various dynamic shapes and pattern change display functions of the music fountain, so that operators can observe various changes of the fountain through the computer screen, which greatly facilitates the music arrangement and operator use of the music fountain.

III. Safety and reliability

2. A unique grounding protection method is summarized from the practice of industrial control engineering to further improve safety.
3. The driver part adopts high-power contactless relays on a large scale, which reduces electromagnetic spark interference, greatly reduces the failure of the main circuit, and prolongs the service life.

As a musical fountain, it is impossible to perform for a long time in one day. The reasons are: first, it consumes a lot of electricity, and second, it will lack freshness if it is turned on for a long time, especially when there is no light during the day, the effect is not good. As a scene of the entire square, the fountain needs to consider the artistic effect of the water type when it is a fixed scenic spot in addition to the music performance. The fixed water type has the longest use time. 2. Program control: If you want to have different combination shape changes, you can turn on the degree function to make the water type change according to the set program, and different shapes will appear, so that people can feel the beauty of different scenery.

3. Real-time voice control: It is a control method commonly used by most companies in China. Its characteristics are that it can respond to any sound source signal, perform karaoke on the spot, etc., but this control method has some disadvantages. First, the water pattern movement lags behind the music, making people feel that the fountain movement is not coordinated with the music. Secondly, the combination and duration of the water pattern are fixed and repeated regardless of any piece of music, so the performance water pattern is inconsistent with the emotions expressed by the music. For example, when the music is passionate, there may be a swinging water pattern, while when the melody is soft, a tall water body appears, which makes people's auditory perception inconsistent with the visual perception. Third, the emotional paragraph of the music does not match the time of the water pattern change, and it is stereotyped.

4. Pre-programmed control method: According to the emotion and artistic conception of a certain piece of music, various water patterns, movements, lights, and water pumps are manually programmed to open and close, so that the fountain performance is consistent with the emotion and artistic conception of the music. This function has a certain comprehensive difficulty in control technology, computer technology, and communication technology.
